Rationale
A few years ago, I received my first appointment letter from a school. I was hired to teach Grade 11 & 12 Mathematics and Physics. With no previous experience in teaching students, my first action was to ask the Principal to share the resources school possessed. To my surprise, there was none except the course outline issued by the board. Immediately, I started off by creating daily lesson plan, class notes, reference material, quizzes, test material, and assignments.
I was offered full-time job in a software company. I gave my resignation giving 15 day notice. The school asked me to submit assignment, answer sheets of the test/quizzes that I used for grading students. I was surprised because I was walking away with all the resources I had developed with paid time and school did not ask me to give it back to them. The new teacher would have to make a fresh start and that affects the reputation of school.
